FIELD: building, particularly to maintain footpaths, opened staircase steps and so on free of snow and ice.
SUBSTANCE: covering comprises rectangular plates provided with heating cable installed on road bed and grouped in longitudinal and/or transversal rows. Each plate is provided with groove formed on upper surface of each plate along central longitudinal axis thereof. Heating cable is laid in the groove and closed with sealing member. Opposite groove ends are provided with through orifices. Plate ends are bent downwards and define longitudinal and transversal flanges. Slots are formed in transversal flanges at areas of flange intersection with groove and in longitudinal flanges in areas of flange joining to opposite plate corners.
EFFECT: reduced electric power inputs.
