FIELD: building materials industry; methods of the foam-silicate production.
SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to production of the construction materials, namely, to production of the foam-silicate. The technical result of the invention consists in improvement of the heat-insulating characteristics. The method provides for production of the composition out of the glass powder, the gas-former - glycerin in the quantity of 0.5-2.0 % and the water solution of the sodium silicate. Preparation of the composition is combined with formation of the granules by balling in the paddle-type mixer-granulator. The granulation is performed at the composition humidity of 15-23 %. Then the granules are subjected to the thermal treatment till production of the single block of the foam silicate.
EFFECT: the invention ensures improvement of the heat-insulating characteristics of the foam-silicate blocks.
