SUBSTANCE: the magnetostriction code converter has a waveform generator (1) consisting of a rectilinear magnetostriction waveguide (2) code mechanism (3) with in polarizing magnets (4) and rods (5) of the drives, recording amplifier (6), acoustic damper (7) and signal electroacoustic converter (8), as well as pulse shaper (9), controlled code generator (10), memory (11), pulse amplifier (12), pulse counter (13), input and output buses (14) and (15), (16). The waveform generator in the magnetostriction delay line serves as the base signal forming assembly, making it possible to unambiguously position the pulse signals of the code set on the time axis and code them relative to the digital code of the controlled code generator. Limitations in time of the set of code combinations and the quantity of pulses in a set are used in the device.
