FIELD: microwave radio engineering, waveguide and antenna engineering, measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: proposed waveguide load has rectangular waveguide section with resistive film disposed in longitudinal section. Resistive film is applied to N (where N = 2) dielectric plates positioned perpendicular to wide wall of rectangular waveguide section and abutting against ends of waveguide shorted end. Matching access points are provided on other end of each plate. Surface resistance of resistive film is chosen considering maximal absorption of electromagnetic energy.
EFFECT: enhanced admissible load dissipation power, improved matching, enlarged operating frequency band.
