METHODS OF DIAGNOSING CONDITION OF BRAKE SYSTEM OF AUTOMOBILE FURNISHED WITH ANTILOCKING SYSTEM (VERSIONS); METHOD OF AND DEVICE FOR DIAGNOSING CONDITION OF AUTOMOBILE BRAKE SYSTEM Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC B60T17/22 G01L5/28

Abstract RU 2297932 C1

FIELD: mechanical engineering; automobile brake systems.

SUBSTANCE: test stand is provided with support and follow-up rollers, two flywheels mechanically intercoupled by means of shaft and clutches arranged on shafts of support rollers of device to measure torques proportional to brake forces on automobile wheels. Stand is set into operation by electric motor. Stand is furnished also with stud to connect stand to electronic control unit of antilocking system, computer, signal amplifiers. Analog-to-digital converter, device simulating rotation of fixed wheels of non-checked axles, devices for measuring angular velocities of support rollers, devices for measuring weight of axle under checking, device to determine force on brake pedal, and flywheels arranged over perimeter of stand. One end of stub is electrically coupled test jack of electronic control unit of antilocking system, and other end is connected with computer, condition of brake systems of automobiles at mounting of automobiles on rollers of stand and successive testing of wheels of each axle is checked at shifting into TEST mode, and if antilocking system has no function of shifting into TEST mode, control signals simulating rotation of wheels of non-checked axles are supplied to electronic control unit from signal amplifier. Maximum approach to real conditions of wheel braking at road tests at stand tests is provided and quality of diagnosing of different brake systems is improved owing to connection to signal amplifier to electronic control unit of antilocking system and simulating of rotation of fixed wheels of non-checked axles of automobile.

EFFECT: improved diagnosing condition of automobile brake system furnished with antilocking device.
