SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the reactors for mixing of the heterogeneous phases and may be used in petrochemical industry, chemical industry, natural gas industry and oil-refining industry, in particular, as the contact devices in the ozonators at realization of the process of the deep afterpurification of the liquor streams of the industrial waste waters from the organic and mineral contaminants. The reactor includes the cylindrical body with the branch-pipes for feeding of the reactants and the located in it alternating coaxial inserts made in the form of the contraction- diffuser components, which are installed with the spacing of H=5.6·D, where Н is the spacing of the contraction- diffuser components, D is the diameter of the reactor. The invention also offers other ratio between the sizes of the contraction- diffuser components. The technical result of the invention consists in the intensification of the process of the contacting of the heterogeneous streams due to preservation of the stable developed turbulent mode of the phases interaction along the whole length of the reaction space of the mixer.
