FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: piston is driven by swinging spring-loaded crank-and-rocker mechanism engaged with load shaft. Two tooth sectors are arranged on mechanisms webs. Opposite end of said mechanism can be locked by pawl teeth while spring allows said mechanism to swing on half-axles. Note here that one tooth sector transmits rotation to ratchet wheel rim coupled with load shaft in compression stroke while another tooth sector transmits rotation to small gear to rotate load shaft via ratchet wheel in working stroke. This add to efficiency of combustion in working stroke. In the case of multicylinder ICE, like processes in different cylinders proceed either in turns, or in groups, or simultaneously driven by electric control system including control drum engaged with load shaft.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of engine.
