FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: seal comprises ring rectangular groove, metallic sealing member mounted in the groove and welded to the lid and housing, pressing flange, fastening studs, and nuts. The groove is made in the lid and housing of the vessel along the vertical line of the joint. The sealing member is made of a semi-torus, and the convex side of the semi-torus is mounted in the groove.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability.
