FIELD: analytical tool-making industry, devices for atomic emission spectral analysis of substances and materials, in particular, excitation sources of atomic emission spectrums of analyzed samples.
SUBSTANCE: two-jet arc plasmatron for atomic emission spectral analysis includes anode and cathode units, each one of which contains body with nozzle, force electrode with high melting point insert, positioned coaxially with nozzle, and device for feeding plasma-generating gas into inter-electrode chamber, created by force electrode and body with nozzle. Force electrode is made with through axial aperture and on one side is provided with connecting pipe for feeding plasma-generating gas, and on other side - with high melting point insert, while axial aperture is connected to inter-electrode chamber by one or several channels, circling the high melting point insert.
EFFECT: increased precision of quantitative determining of content of elements in sample being analyzed due to stabilization of position of analytical section of plasma.
