FIELD: metallurgy, namely casting with use of investment patterns.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises at least two steps of heating in order to enhance strength of envelope of casting mold for casting with use investment patterns. Such casting mold includes casting core of refractory metal. First heating step is realized in condition promoting oxidation at temperature sufficiently low for oxidizing casting core. Second step is realized in condition preventing oxidation at higher temperature. Apparatus includes unit for molding envelope of casting mold around pattern to which casting core made on base of refractory metal is introduced; unit for enhancing strength of envelope by heating.
EFFECT: improved quality of casting cores made of refractory metals.
