FIELD: ferrous metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to casting abrasion-resistant cast irons. Proposed cast iron comprises the following components, wt.-%: carbon, 2.2-2.6; silicon, 0.2-0.5; manganese, 0.2-0.5; chrome, 20.0-28.0; boron, 0.01-0.03; titanium, 0.2-0.5; niobium, 0.3-0.6, and iron, the balance. Proposed cast iron can be used in making bodies, protective disks, grate bars in caking trolleys and sizing screens for agglomeration machines and draw plates for wire mills and for other aims. Invention provides enhancing abrasion resistance, corrosion resistance and thermal stability of articles made of the proposed cast iron.
EFFECT: improved and valuable technical properties of cast iron.
