FIELD: metallurgy; high-temperature and wear-resistant foundry pig irons; manufacture of parts working under intensive abrasive and impact-abrasive wear.
SUBSTANCE: proposed cast iron may be used for manufacture of parts working under intensive abrasive and impact-abrasive wear at temperatures as high as 1100° C in gaseous oxidizing media, for example screen fire grates, sintering cars, fittings of heat-treating furnaces, drawing dies and rollers of wire mills. Proposed cast iron contains the following constituents, mass-%: carbon, 2.0-2.6; silicon, 0.1-0.6; manganese, 4.0-5.0; chromium, 17.0-21.0; titanium, 0.3-0.7; nickel, 0.3-2.2; niobium, 0.2-1.0; the remainder being iron.
EFFECT: enhanced wear resistance and high-temperature resistance of cast iron.
