FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves applying photochemotherapy using ultra-violet radiation wavelength of 320-400 nm for treating surface of trunk, hands, legs, shoulder girdle, neck, and head. Ammifurin dose is prescribed, depending on patient body weight, in the amount of 1.0-1.2 mg/kg of body weight. Ammifurin dose is taken in one gulp, 3 h before photochemotherapy procedure. Photochemotherapy is started with suberythemal dose of 0.6-1.1 J/cm2 by exposing patient for 3-5 minutes to installation light stream radiation of intensity equal to 38-40 W/m2. The subsequent single doses increase with every next session by 1.0 J/cm2 up to maximum value of 4-5 J/cm2. The radiation treatment is continued with this maximum unit dose three times a week, every other day.
EFFECT: reduced histamine production; normalized prostaglandin metabolism; rejected topic steroid consumption.
