FIELD: passive radar engineering; radio navigation and radiometry.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method for reducing antenna noise level depends on simultaneous generation of two directivity patterns, one being of narrow-beam type on wave H11 and other one, of conical-beam type on wave E01, followed by dividing these waves in mode divider and generating output signal as difference in amplitude-detected signals received on waves H11 and E01.

Proposed dual-mode antenna has mode divider affording division of power received on waves H11 and E01.

EFFECT: reduced noise level including that at broadband and noise data signals while affording signal reception from fast processes.
