FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: waveguide rotating joint consists of two transitions from a rectangular waveguide with wave H10 to round waveguides with wave E01, which are movably articulated through a choke. The transitions from a rectangular waveguide with wave H10 to a round waveguide with wave E01 are made in such a way that pairs of rectangular waveguides, which are the outputs of waveguide double T-bridges folded into a fork in the E-plane, are symmetrically connected to the ends of the round waveguides. Absorbers are installed in the total arms of the waveguide double T-bridges.
EFFECT: reduction in the level of signal modulation that occurs when the rotor rotates relative to the stator, a reduction in ohmic losses per pass, the elimination of resonances that lock the rotating joint, a reduction in VCSW at the joint input, and an increase in the operating efficiency of a radar station with a rotating antenna device.
