FIELD: metallurgy; rolling.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device is designed for drying surface of cold rolled strip getting out of rolling mill rolls. Upper strip deflector is arranged in outlet zone of rolling mill stand over strip. Built into deflector is device for blowing strip through low-pressure nozzle, said device being fed by fan. Slot nozzle for upper sealing of clearance of roll barrel forms air stream forcing off liquid medium in contact with roll surface. Suckout device with built-in lower strip deflector is arranged under strip. Said suckout device deflects air stream from vertical, thus providing separation of drops of emulsion under action of centrifugal forces, and gathering and removing them from zone under drying. Degree and quality of drying of strip surface are improved owing to use of forced formed air flows. Mechanisms interfering in process of replacement of rolls and adjustment of parameters of zone of deformation are excluded.
EFFECT: improved quality of drying.
