FIELD: laser engineering.

SUBSTANCE: proposed laser device has at least three solid-state light-pulse generating lasers pumped by continuously running diodes, facility for directing these light pulses to same point on target, and laser control facility. Laser control facility provides for modifying time distribution of laser-generated light pulses to produce composite pulses. Profile of each composite pulse includes first pulse and next second pulse incorporating a few time-shifted pulses or a number of simultaneous pulses, time shifts between composite pulses being shorter than laser pulse repetition period.

EFFECT: enhanced pulse repetition frequency at same peak power; simplified design and reduced cost of device.
