FIELD: cartography, namely, methods for composing navigational charts.
SUBSTANCE: technical result is achieved due to transfer of images of geographic objects, navigational support means, shoreline, depth line, encoding of geographic object details, and determining of coordinate of geographic object using values of development coefficients for which stretching limits are less than given map scale, and also determining of numeric constants depending on level of indentation density of shoreline.
EFFECT: accelerated processing and displaying of geographic object images.
