FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: satellite images of ice fields are obtained. The images are segmented and interpreted. Mapping with interactive analysis and quantitative assessment is performed. The images are encoded in form of symbols. The symbols are presented as inner points of the ice field. Each inner point of the ice field is determined in form of real plane coordinates whose axes are directed to the east and west. The photographed real plane coordinates of the inner points of the ice fields and equidistant lines are superimposed onto a new plotting board or map. A general curve is determined from flash-decomposition coefficients and then applied based the given scale of the map. Characteristics of the state of the ice surface are determined. To this end, the obtained map images are compared with previous images obtained in a similar previous season using similar equipment.
EFFECT: high accuracy of ice field maps.
