FIELD: river water transport; pilotage of vessels at any time under any weather conditions.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method of pilotage of vessels is based on use of laser leading beacon; two laser beams generated by two laser beacons turned in vertical are scanned towards each other in azimuth plane at preset frequency and are superimposed at opposite traffic, thus forming three three-dimensional areas filled with laser glow: synchronous glow area indicating the accurate course of moving object for navigator and two synchronous glow areas for estimation of sign and degree of deviation of moving object from preset trajectory. Proposed method makes it possible to accurately estimate deviation from preset course (axial line of range) of 1 m per kilometer of range and more at high visibility of laser lights ensuring operating range of laser leading beacon of 10 km and more.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency and reliability.
