SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sea and river navigation. Proposed method consists in joint use of optical signal from course laser beacon and navigation data from satellite navigation system to can ships in approaching destination point and along fairway. Note here that said course laser beacon generates three 3D areas in space filled with laser radiation to indicate precise course and to estimate sign and degree of lateral deviation of ship from fairway.

EFFECT: ship canning in sophisticated navigation conditions, ruling out pilot errors during visual orientation.
