FIELD: experimental and technical physics, in particular, methods for measuring energy of impulse energy source.
SUBSTANCE: in suggested method for measuring energy absorbed by gas in closed reactor, during impulse energy effect on gas, including measurement of pressure within reactor volume, as opposed to known analogical methods, pressure sensor is used to record standing sound waves within reactor volume, and energy of impulse energy source not more than 10-2 seconds long is calculated on basis of measured data. As impulse energy source, impulse electron beam may be used.
EFFECT: development of method for measuring impulse energy source energy, absorbed by gas in closed reactor, which method is realized during heat-producing reactions within reactor volume.
