FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves carrying out closed fracture reduction. Injured talocrural segment immobilization is carried out with plaster bandage of boot type followed by two-stage injured segment immobilization level reduction. The plaster bandage is shortened at the first stage to Lisfranc's or Chopart's joint along internal, back and plantar surfaces and to the fifth metatarsal bone base along the external surface. The plaster bandage is shortened at the second stage to ankle joint with visor being retained on the external surface of the ankle joint with transition to external foot edge to the fifth metatarsal bone base.
EFFECT: prevented fractured bone fragment displacement; accelerated treatment course; retained lateral and rotational stability in ankle joint.
