FIELD: fuel oil tanks with floating roofs.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to floating roof of steel tank containing central diaphragm with ring pontoon, water outlet system, horizontal stops arranged in diametrically opposite directions and sealing envelope hermetically secured by lower end over entire perimeter of ring pontoon and hermetically connected by upper end over entire perimeter of upper stiffening ring of tank wall. Sealing envelope is made of rigid ring members whose working diameters decrease at approach to ring pontoon, and flexible non-extensible linear members arranged between adjacent rigid ring members in relatively crossing directions at angle of 45° to vertical and connecting rigid ring members to each other. To provide complete tightness of sealing envelope, airtight flexible ring inserts are arranged between rigid ring members made of elastic material and hermetically connected with lower and upper edges of adjacent rigid ring members.
EFFECT: provision of absolute sealing of floating roof relative to vertical wall of tank, maximum reduction of possible evaporation of stored oil product, increased floatability, stability and operating reliability of floating roof.
