FIELD: engineering of reservoirs, in particular, equipped with floating surface, namely, reservoir with floating surface for technological operations with oil or oil products, containing hermetic floats.
SUBSTANCE: floating surface is made in form of a ring of rigidly connected perimeter and radial-beam blocks, forming hollow sectors, hermetically closed by oil and gasoline resistant fabric. Blocks are clamped by strings, creating a mesh at the liquid surface level. Fabric sectors of cover lie on strings and on liquid surface, and to flush steam-gas-air locks, which get into reservoir under the cover from main pipeline and for preventing creation of vacuum under cover during its mounting on supports, float valves are installed on fabric sectors.
EFFECT: decreased metal costs of pontoon, increased efficiency of packing valve in terms of evaporation losses decrease and decreased losses of liquid to evaporation.
