FIELD: electrolysis cells for electrochemical processes.
SUBSTANCE: proposed electrolysis cell includes anode section with anode and cathode section with cathode which are separated by the ion-exchange membrane. At least one section has package consisting of current distributor connected with wall of respective section by means of supports, gas diffusion electrode in contact with surface of current distributor, units for supply of gas to gas diffusion electrode located in lower part of this cell, units for exhaust of waste gas from gas diffusion electrode located in upper part this cell and porous planar element made from plastic material selected from group consisting of high-density polyethylene and fluorinated plastics which is inserted between membrane and gas diffusion electrode for delivery of at least one liquid reagent seeping into its interior.
EFFECT: reduced power requirements; explosion proofness of process.
