FIELD: valving systems.

SUBSTANCE: valve plug comprises housing provided with outer gently beveled conical wall. The housing has proximate end. The end of the housing can be connected with the rod of the valve. The valve housing has cupola-shaped end surface at the distant end. The end surface smoothly goes into the conical wall. The valve plug has ring collar that is positioned in the vicinity to the end of the rod whose diameter is less than that of the collar. The ring collar is provided with beveled or sloping intermediate surface. The intermediate surface is interposed between the collar and conical wall of the housing of the plug and interconnects them. The amount of chamfering or inclination of the intermediate surface is larger than that of the conical wall of the plug housing. The combination of the conical smoothly beveled wall of the plug, intermediate surface, and cupola-like end surface provide flow above the plug to be laminar, with gradually varying characteristics. The plug is mounted in the valve for permitting change of flow rate through the valve.
