FIELD: protective circuit-opening devices.

SUBSTANCE: proposed fast-response circuit breaker has base, magnetic circuit with coil, armature, fixed and movable contacts, control rod interconnecting armature and movable contact, as well as disconnecting spring. Magnetic circuit is hinged to base and spring-loaded to enlarge base-to-armature clearance. Movable contact may be coupled with magnetic circuit through additional control rod and rocker arm mounted on base bracket.

EFFECT: enhanced speed of response.
