FIELD: measuring equipment engineering, namely, equipment for digital measurement of time intervals.
SUBSTANCE: device contains a digital delay line, synchronized with supporting generator. In accordance to invention, controllable delay element, phase interpolation block, second registers block, first and second encoders, impulse counter and subtraction block are introduced to device. Inputs of subtraction block, creating the result of transformation, are connected to appropriate outputs of impulse counter and both encoders, inputs of which are connected to appropriate outputs of first and second register blocks. Appropriate information inputs of both register blocks are combined, while divided clock inputs of registers of both register blocks are connected to appropriate outputs of phase interpolation block. First input of phase interpolation block together with the input of controlled delay element and controlling input of impulse counter through a buffer element is connected to input clamp of device, and its second input - to the output of controlled delay element. Controlling input of controlled delay element is combined with controlling input output digital delay line, which is connected by its main output to counting input of impulse counter.
EFFECT: simplification of device while maintaining high precision of measurements.
