FIELD: heat power engineering; steam traps.
SUBSTANCE: proposed float steam trap has vertical cylindrical housing with cover and bottom, branch pipe to supply steam-condensate mixture, and branch pipe to remove condensate separated from steam, turned-over open float arranged coaxially inside housing and valve engaging with seat in cover. According to invention, cylindrical insert arranged inside housing is connected with its inner surface by lower cut through horizontal ring plate, bottom of housing is provided with additional branch pipe to remove steam which is fitted by its upper end into inner space of float and is provided with plate ring attachment, said turned-over open float freely rests through its bottom on attachment and encloses cylindrical insert by its inner space with parametric clearance. Plate ring attachment is horizontal plate secured on upper end of branch pipe to remove steam, its outer diameter being smaller than inner diameter of float on which concentric partitions are arranged. Upper cuts of partitions form support plane of float, and holes are made in horizontal plate. Perforated partition is arranged between inner cylindrical insert and branch pipe to let out steam at level of ring plate. Branch pipe to supply steam-condensate mixture is installed tangentially to housing in chamber formed by bottom of housing and ring plate. Lower cut of float is provided with clearance with horizontal ring plate to pass condensate.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of operation of condensate steam trap owing to extraction of steam for secondary use by provision of uniform supply of steam-condensate mixture into inner space of float.
