FIELD: production of cast products, possibly manufacture of measured-length ingots, mainly of non-ferrous metal alloys and of cast iron.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus for cooling ingot is placed between mold and apparatus for drawing ingot. Apparatus for cutting ingot by measured-length pieces is mounted on foundation with possibility of motion in horizontal plane. One guide for centering ingot is arranged behind apparatus for cooling ingot; two other guides for cooling ingot are arranged in front and after apparatus for drawing ingot. Mold is mounted with possibility of motion and fixation in vertical plane relative to metal receptacle. Water -cooled jacket of mold is joined with autonomous power source having cooling device. Water-cooled jacket extends along length of mold housing and it is provided with heat removal member on inner surface having radially arranged ribs.
EFFECT: enhanced physical and mechanical properties of ingot due to fine-grain structure with increased density of helical dislocations in the result of controlling ingot drawing rate depending upon cross section of ingot.
