SUBSTANCE: method comprises applying the raw mixture for producing heat insulating material composed of filler made of mineral fibers and binder and heat treatment of the material at a temperature does not exceeding the temperature of melting of the filler. The raw mixture is made of a suspension of the filler in the binder made of a water gel, mass%,: .2.31-6,82 of mineral fibers made of a pieces of cloth or cotton, 92.93-97.49 of water or water solution of ethylene glycol, 0.125-0.136 of guar resin, 048 of borate solidification agent of guar resin, and 0.067 of gel stabilizer. The mixture is set in the space under the pressure until the density factor of the filler is no more than 8 with respect to the density of the initial cloth or cotton. The temperature of heat treatment is no less than the temperature of the guar resin decomposition.

EFFECT: improved quality of thermal insulation .
