METHOD FOR STAINING BLOOD SMEARS Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC G01N33/48 G01N1/30 

FIELD: veterinary science, medicine.

SUBSTANCE: for preparing blood smears they should be fixed with Nikiforov's solution; staining should be fulfilled with the help of two dyestuffs: Erlich's hematoxylin and eosin-sodium; at first, the smears should be placed for 2-3 min into Erlich's hematoxylin solution kept in hermetically sealed tank for 360 d, then they should be put into the tank with running water for 1-2 min till smears turn blue, then these smears should be dried with filter paper and put into 1%-aqueous eosin-sodium solution for 1-2 min followed by washing the stained smears with distilled water for 8-10 sec and drying them at air. Application of the present innovation enables to obtain smears of high quality of staining at shortened period of staining and at higher possibility for multiple application of active solutions of dyestuffs.

EFFECT: higher efficiency.
