METHOD FOR BIOMETRIC IDENTIFICATION OF A PERSON ON BASIS OF PARAMETERS OF HAND Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC G06K9/00 

FIELD: image recognition technologies, possible use for controlling admittance of people through checkpoints allows to identify a person on basis of hand parameters without need for rigid fixation of position of fingers and hand itself.

SUBSTANCE: in the method, standard image is recorded in given scale and given angle of silhouette of hand of certain person with spread fingers, in same scale and with same angle image of hand silhouette of person being identified with spread fingers is recorded, and after processing of aforementioned recorded images their parameters are compared. Into recorded image, a row of circles is inscribed starting from fingertips of hand, lines are drawn through centers of circles, then rectified, perpendicularly to rectified lines, other lines are drawn through centers, equal to radiuses of circles, through ends of these lines compared lines are drawn, beginnings of rectified lines of corresponding fingers are combined and mismatch values are determined for lines being compared.

EFFECT: increased precision of recognition and increased reliability of identification.
