FIELD: defectoscopy.

SUBSTANCE: use for ultrasonic inspection of articles from composite materials. Summary of invention consists in the fact that supplying ultrasonic waves using a transducer perpendicular to the contact surface of the monitoring object with wave direction through one focal axis and subsequent determination of the defect by the travel time of the elastic wave pulse, wherein supply of elastic transverse ultrasonic wave is carried out from one side of article by means of converter with dry point contact in specified section of control with simultaneous supply of an elastic longitudinal ultrasonic wave on the other side of the article using the same converter with an operating frequency of both elastic waves of 300 kHz and subsequent detection of the presence of a defect in the object of monitoring as to travel time of the pulse and amplitude of the longitudinal wave.

EFFECT: improved reverberation-noise characteristics, increased sensitivity of the method and increased control area.
