SUBSTANCE: in accordance to the invention, method and device are proposed for selection of preferred frequency level PL in user terminal UE in mobile communication system, providing MBMS service. User terminal UE in connected mode receives information of frequency level convergence process (FLC) for MBMS service and preserves current frequency or realizes reselection of preferred frequency level of MBMS service based on FLC usability information. If FLC usability information limits FLC process from user terminal UE in connected mode, then this user terminal UE in connected mode may perform reselection for preferred frequency level PL of MBMS service based on its priority level.
EFFECT: prevented occurrence of situation when MBMS service traffic can not be allocated at preferred PL frequency level.
