FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves intravenously introducing chlorine row photosensitizer at a dose of 0.8-1.5 mg/kg. 10-20 min later, transpupillary irradiation of foreign body and retinal zone around it and adjacent area is carried out field-by-field with neighboring fields overlap over 5% by area after having finished photosensitizer introduction. Radiation power density is equal to 100-150 J/cm2, wavelength corresponding to luminous radiation absorption maximum of the photosensitizer. Two weeks later, transvitreous removal of foreign body hammered into posterior eye pole tunics is carried out.
EFFECT: high bactericide treatment effectiveness; prevented foreign body capsule formation; stimulated chorioretinal cicatrix formation; reduced risk of intraoperative and postoperative complications.
