SUBSTANCE: invention relates to floating roofs of reservoirs for technological operations with oil and oil products, in particular, for tanks not equipped with stationary roofs, and concerns floating roofs consisting of tight units. Block floating roof is made in the form of a carpet consisting of blocks-boxes filled with rigid foam polymer material, along the perimeter under the carpet there fixed is a ring of connected circular blocks made of thin-sheet metal, inside of which there is a board of high-strength foam material, for example foamed glass, framed with rigid with closed micro cells polymeric foam material, resistant to oil and oil products, for example, foamed polyurethane, which completely fills the cavity of the block box, thus ensuring monolithic character and strength of the unit. Blocks of the floating roof carpet with their long sides are tightly connected to each other with detachable H-shaped profile by transverse planks, and by short sides are fixed on longitudinal profiled beams.

EFFECT: improving reliability, strength, margin of buoyancy of perimeter part and in general block floating roof, improving repairability of floating roof and reservoir, in which block floating roof is installed.
