FIELD: mechanical engineering; mufflers.
SUBSTANCE: proposed muffler of pneumatic motor has housing with inlet and outlet flat end face walls provided with intake and exhaust branch pipes, respectively, and flat screen installed inside housing and dividing it into chamber behind intake branch pipe and chamber before exhaust pipe. Housing is lined from inside by sound absorbing material. Used as sound absorbing material is aluminum-bearing based alloys subsequently filled with titanium hydride of air, density within 0.5 and 0.9 kg/cu. m with following strength properties: compression strength within 5 and 10 MPa, bending strength within 20 and 20 MPa.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of noise silencing.
