DRUM-TYPE DRIER Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC F26B11/06 

FIELD: drying of dispersed materials; microbiological, food-processing, chemical and other industries.

SUBSTANCE: proposed drum-type drier has moist material loading unit with feeder, drying chamber, furnace with mixing chamber and fan. Drying chamber case is made in form of cylindrical drum mounted at inclination relative to level and supported by roller with the aid of bandages; drum is rotated by electric motor and its axial position is fixed by rollers. Material is fed to drum with the aid of feeder and is preliminarily mixed by means of blades of receiving helical attachment; then, it enters inner attachment located along entire length of drum. Dried material is removed through unloading unit and used drying agent is discharged through dust-cleaning system equipped with cyclone. Drum is mounted at inclination of 1/15 to 1/50 relative to level. It is rotated by electric motor through gear train and reduction gear. Dust-cleaning system is provided with acoustic plant; exhaust pipe of cyclone is provided with gate valve for control of fan draft.

EFFECT: increased productivity.
