SUBSTANCE: method involves detecting pseudoexfoliative material available on anterior capsule surface and along pupil boundary of iris when carrying out biomicroscopic examination in mydriatic pupil cases. The pseudoexfoliative material being detected, the operation is considered to be indicated.
EFFECT: early stage cataract removal; reduced risk of intra-operative and postoperative complications; enhanced effectiveness in stabilizing glaucoma development process.
