FIELD: electric contact roller welding on of powder materials, possibly restoration and strengthening of worn working surfaces of parts such as bodies of revolution.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of preliminarily contact welding of net to part; subjecting part to rotation at speed equal to that of welding on process; performing metered feed of powder to zone of contact "roller electrode-part" and simultaneously passing welding current pulses at continuous motion of roller electrode along axis of part. Size of net cells provides possibility for transporting powder under roller electrode but it is no more than width of roller electrode. Method allows weld on non-ferromagnetic powders.
EFFECT: enlarged manufacturing possibilities of method, lowered porosity of welded on layer.
