FIELD: composite materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to manufacture of composite materials that can be used as fibrous sorbents as well as for fabrication of technical and special-destination articles. Material of invention is composed of nonwoven layer containing ion-exchange fiber and knitted backing made from modified fiber yarn, said ion-exchange fiber being a fiber based on grafted copolymer of polycaproamide with phosphorus-boron-containing methacrylate having general formula: wherein n=1÷8 and phosphorus content 1.4-1.8% of the layer weight. Weight ratio knitted backing to nonwoven layer is 1:(1.3-1.6).
EFFECT: improved performance characteristics of material due to increased sorption capacity, filtering ability, and fireproofness.
