FIELD: analyzing or investigating of materials.

SUBSTANCE: device comprises housing, crucible for liquid metal, and control unit. The housing is made of a hollow cylinder with bottom provided with the lid-shield having peephole. The top section of the housing receives the spider with bearing area having the opening at its center. The wave guide bears on the area and has rod and radiator made in block. The wave guide is connected to the operation side of the piezoelectric pickup through the opening made in the bearing area. The output of the piezoelectric pickup is connected with the preamplifier that is connected with the acoustical-emission recorder via a signal cable. The recorder is made of band amplifier, amplitude detector, amplitude-frequency converter whose output is connected with the counter, control logical circuit, and autonomous power source.
