FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves carrying out ophthalmoscopic examination. Eye fundus and optic nerve disk image is obtained by means of fundus camera. Basic color component parameters are measured. Eye fundus image colors distribution diagrams are built in 256 brightness degrees for given patient under study. Red color mode, median, minimum and maximum and green color range are determined. The built basic color distribution diagrams are compared to reference diagrams using similarity parameter maximum test. Red color minimum being less than 186, red color maximum being less than 237, red color mode being less than 228, red color median being less than 215, green color bandwidth range being less than 96, optic nerve disk pathologic changes of paired eye are diagnosed.
EFFECT: high accuracy of early stage diagnosis.
