FIELD: powder metallurgy, namely methods for making porous ceramic filters, possibly used for cleaning liquid and gaseous media in metallurgy, exhaust gases of transport vehicles and so on.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of preparing molding mass containing roughly dispersed powder of alumina or alumosilicate having 60 -80% of particles of uniform size and shape in mass of oxides formed in filter after heat treatment; 15 - 30% of finely dispersed components including one or more elements selected from group containing lithium, sodium, potassium, magnesium, aluminum, silicon, phosphorus and boron; 3 - 11% of one or more of elements selected from group including copper, zinc, vanadium, molybdenum, manganese, cobalt and nickel; blowing agent; plasticizer and binder. Honeycomb-structure filter members are shaped from prepared mass and they are subjected to heat treatment at temperature 900 - 1200°C.
EFFECT: improved penetrability, strength of filter, optimal structure of uniform filtering pores.
