FIELD: methods and means for cleaning of exhaust gases. SUBSTANCE: method may be used in catalytic cleaning of exhaust gases of gasoline and diesel internal combustion engines, effluents of industrial exhaust gases and sewages, and in preparation of block catalytic neutralizers of toxic gases, gas and liquid regenerated filters. Exhaust gases are cleaned by treatment of toxic components on catalyst applied to block ceramic carriers and filters of organized, ordered structures. Molded catalyst carrier and filter are prepared by layer-by-layer laying or winding of preliminarily treated and impregnated with ceramic mass forming materials. It may be burning out fibrous or reinforcing netted of perforated materials. Claimed conditions of assembly and treatment make it possible to produce block carriers for catalysts and filters of any shape, structure and dimensions with simple technology and reduced economic expenditures in process of manufacture. EFFECT: higher efficiency due to provided multifunctional cleaning of flue gases owing to combination of properties of neutralizer with through channels and filter with gas-permeable walls and efficient treatment of sewage waters on sorbent filters. 8 cl, 1 tbl
