FIELD: non-ferrous metallurgy, namely electrolytic production of aluminum from alumina, possibly in cells with fired anodes for stabilizing technical parameters of cell.
SUBSTANCE: method for indirect measuring of electric current in anodes, anode struts and anode bridges according to voltage measurements in separate points along the whole length of anode bus with use of voltage pickups connected with computing unit; selecting number of measurement points exceeding number of electric current to be measured; determining currents in anodes, anode struts and anode bridges by deciding reverse task of equation for voltage distribution in anode bus; in order to determine currents in part of anode struts or in all anode struts and (or) in part of anode bridges or in all anode bridges, measuring voltage in points of anode struts and(or) of anode bridges.
EFFECT: possibility for continuous determination of electric current in all anodes of aluminum cell.
