SUBSTANCE: method comprises measuring the voltage on the anode bus of the electrolyser and determining anode currents by solving the inverse problem for the voltage distribution equation for the anode bus, the calculated anode current values are filtered, the anode current noise is calculated, followed by filtration, the average daily absolute increase in the filtered anode noise is calculated, the anode current values and the absolute increment of the average daily anode noise are compared with the set value, and anode disturbances are detected.

EFFECT: possibility to reduce the number of disturbances and improve the quality of process control in general.
