FIELD: handling soils contaminated with residue of toxic materials such as arsenide compounds.
SUBSTANCE: soil is heated with microwave energy to temperature of 300 - 350 °C for 3 - 5 minutes through depth of 30 - 35 cm at surface area being treated of 100 x 50 cm. Microwave radiation frequency equals in this case 915 MHz.
EFFECT: ability of heating soil with microwave fields to sublimation temperature of arsenide compounds without soil extraction.
